A 1947 Longines Reference 5564 housing a manual winding caliber 27m movement delivered to Longines Swiss agent, Wirth, June 14th as per the extract (written email confirmation included)

This watch is extremely beautiful, featuring long elegant fixed lugs, a large oversized 36mm snapback case, and a mesmerising dial in outstanding original condition. The case is unpolished.

The inverted arabic numerals are painted on with large cabachon hour markers between, creating a clean, minimalist contrast.

There are not many early large size Longines of this reference around, a quick google only shows one sold back in 2016 via a Swiss auction house.

I would say this watch is not only rare but a condition rarity, especially in such well preserved condition.

The watch has not been serviced by us but  is running well, and keeping good time.
