It's not often when you are blown away by a watch, but sometimes a special piece crosses you, and you have to double take!! This early 60s Breitling, 1964 to be exact, is an early pump pusher Brielting Sports Chronograph, reference 788 with manually wound Venus 175 movement.
This Premier model was introduced alongside the Cosmonaute, Pilots watches and was aimed to be a more dressy sports watch at that time. Competing with Omega & Rolex.
This example is the purist form of a Breitling Chronograph with a stunning silver sunburst dial in close to mint condition, and stick hands with the small Premier text floating above the bottom hour counter, a really clean design, and a razor sharp curved lug case, which is in really excellent vintage condition. The crown has the 'B' engraved lightly.
This watch came from the original owner who lightly wore it, and later stored it away in the original box, with the gurantee papers. Not something you would find today. He actually kept it all.
This has to be one of the nicest Premier from the 60s we have seen and you can't find a much better example.
Purchased new on the 24th June, 1964 in the UK.
