Up for grabs is this awesome and well preserved 1966 Omega Speedmaster 105.012-66 with step dial and applied logo and in a CB "Central Boites" case. The more common cases seen on these Speedmasetr were produced by HF (Huguenin Freres.)
This case has a unique feature with stouter lug design with unpolished, yet worn vertical inner facets on the inner parts of the lugs. You can clearly see that this design makes the Speedmaster appear different and unique. Finding one that has not had thes facets polished away is very hard and you seldom find exmaples like this. The watch also features the original stubby pushers, with a later crown.
Another highlight of this watch is the Tachymetre Dot over 90 bezel which is in very good condition, with only a couple of small dings, one by the 90. But overall it is a good one.
The correct single step caseback is in good shape with some wear from use.
The watch houses the venerable Caliber 321 which runs well with very good amplitude and accuracy, the original dust cover is also in place.
The watch is sold as head only on honey calf grain.
It has the original etched logo plexiglass.
All the lume is a beautiful colour, and the dial is nice overall. The Proffessional script has aged a cool brown colour, the dial also has a tropical hue in some lights.
Overall this is an good solid example of a rare and highly coveted Speedmaster priced very competitvely in the current market.
