Condition - Very light wearing marks consistent with age, excellent dial, luminous overall.

Introduced around 1969, as per archives, and various advertisments the Tudor Oyster-Prince Ranger has the visual appeal of its loved brother, the Rolex 1016 Explorer featuring the same matte dial style and applied numbers in an explorer configuration, but in a tidy 34mm Oyster case, signed by Rolex.

In my opinion the Ranger stands apart as a totally different beast, it shows what quality Tudor was capable of during the late 60s, and has a certain feeling when wearing it, take those subtle spade hour hands and that paddle seconds being a visual delight.

Here we have the purest form of the Ranger, the 7995/0. A rarity to find with non-date and small printed rose. The clean matte black dial and applied large luminous tritium numerals which have aged to a lovely, deep yellowish hue, all in totally clean, original condition, very seldom seen.

This variant with non date  is the closest in design to the 1016.

The watch has a good stainless steel case which has been lightly polished in the past (common for these cases) and has the correct screw down Oyster crown. The serial and reference numbers are crisp between the lugs. (serial 646XXX)

The bracelet is in good shape, with 72/2 inside the clasp which is around 1-2 years range of the serial so I would say the original.

The watch is currently running strong with a good amplitude, and has a signed Tudor rotor with a ETA 2483 under the dial. 

It comes with its original red leather Tudor Box.

A rare find, especially in this condition.
