The Rolex Air-King was introduced in 1945 to honor WWII RAF pilots, it has gona through various iterations over the years, but in essence kept it's compact and vintage aesthetics.. 

This model brings it up to date and we see a beautiful blue sunburst dial with explorere layout numerals at 12,3,6 & 9 which are filled with super luminova, constrasting polished hour markers, again with luminous and the smooth chrome like numerals are really striking against the sunburst texture of the dial.

The case on this example is wonderfully sharp, thick and even, I doubt it has ever been polished, and not worn heavily judging by it's condition, having still got the perfectly preserved caseback sticker on the back!

The watch has a signed crown, is running, winding and setting smoothly. 

It comes as head only on this handmade italian leather pebble calf strap, ready to be enjoyed again.
